| I think it's a sad, sad thing when a nine-year old can take better care of his fish, rather than a huge, monopolized company that has the man-power AND the money to back them up. I'm against Wal-Mart keeping any sort of animal - they just aren't capable of doing so. I've gone to visit a Wal-Mart on two separate occasions, and the conditions of their fish were horrible. Just because they aren't fluffy, or can do cool tricks doesn't make a fish any less of any animal. Just because they can't yelp in pain, doesn't mean people have to treat them any less. If you are to get a fish, please research before you buy! Goldfish AREN'T meant to be in little tiny bowls. They are messy, messy fish that need at least 10 gallons PER fish, and contrary to popular belief - betta fish don't ALWAYS live in little mud puddles. They are seen swimming in rice paddies, and sluggish, slow moving rivers - and the last time I checked, both bodies of water had a lot more water content than what you can find in a darn cup. You don't believe me? I'd be more than happy to prove you wrong. I feel like I'm up here preaching, but I'm darn tired of the conditions I see betta fish in. Again. Research. Then buy. If you do happen to use this stamp, just note me - I'd love to see it. :3 |
